Classification by electrical safety protection
Class l tools: In this class of tools, its protection against electric shock not only relies on basic insulation, but also contains an additional safety protection measure, that is, connecting the accessible conductive part with the protection (ground) wire of the specified wiring in the equipment. The accessible conductive part cannot be turned into an electrical device when the basic insulation is damaged: its protection against electric shock depends not only on the basic insulation, but also on additional safety protection measures, such as double insulation or embellishment insulation, which does not provide protective grounding or does not depend on equipment conditions
Subclass tool: Its protection against electric shock depends on being powered by a safe ultra-low voltage (42V/24V) and not generating a voltage higher than the safe ultra-low voltage within the tool.
