Choosing a good quality tool is an important part of the construction process of landscaping, but it is more important to master the correct use of methods and skills. Because no matter how good the tool is, it is difficult to complete the construction work with quality and quantity. The cutting methods and techniques in landscaping construction are as follows:
First: when cutting a thick trunk, such as the diameter of the trunk is greater than the length of the chainsaw guide, it is suitable to use the partition block cutting method. When cutting the first cut, the end of the guide plate should just reach the broken ridge of the trunk, make the chainsaw horizontal and swing as much as possible, with the inserted teeth as the fulcrum, and the added saw edge should be as small as possible. When the saw chain is relocated to the next saw edge, the whole guide plate should be embedded in the saw edge to prevent the phenomenon of uneven saw edge, and the operations such as clamping and inserting wood teeth should be carried out, and then a wedge should be inserted into the incision. The last down saw only needs to make a simple fan cut, but no broken ridge.
Second: For thinner trunks, a simple fan saw can be cut. Clamp the shaper teeth behind the broken ridge and make the chainsaw swing on this axis. Be careful to swing the shaper teeth around the trunk only until the broken ridge.
Third: if the diameter of the trunk is more than twice the length of the guide plate, or the diameter of the trunk is very large, and the core of the tree is largely unsawed. In order to prevent the tree core from breaking and hope to accurately control the tree toppling, the tree core needs to be sawed. Use a chainsaw to cut into the center of the groove of the fallen tree, and then swing the guide plate in an arc from up to down.
Fourth: In the cutting operation of landscaping construction, the more complex is cutting trees or cutting large diameter trunks. When cutting a tree, first remove branches and leaves from the base work area of the tree and clear out the base work area of the tree in order to find a safe foothold. Then saw cut the downed tree groove, in the selected foundation, first longitudinal cut, then cross cut, you can use the chainsaw shell on the fallback tester in sawing the downed tree groove to determine the fallback of the tree. Note that the recess should be perpendicular to the fall of the tree, as close to the ground as possible, and cut to a depth of about 1/5 to 1/3 of the diameter of the trunk.
Fifth: Cut the logging saw slightly above the bottom of the downed tree groove, and cut it horizontally. A non-sawing area of about 1/10 of the diameter of the trunk is left between the cut and the fall groove to act as a broken ridge. Wedge into logging cut in time. Only wood, aluminum, or plastic wedges can be used. Do not use steel wedges as they may damage the chainsaw and cause it to rebound. The broken ridge helps control the fall of the tree. Never saw through the broken ridge, otherwise the fall cannot be controlled and may lead to accidents.
Sixth: for long fiber cork in landscaping construction, cutting sapwood incision can prevent it from breaking when it falls. Cut both sides of the trunk at the same height as the bottom of the groove to a depth of about 1/10 of the diameter of the trunk. If the trunk is very thick, the cut should not be wider than the guide board. Do not cut sapwood notches if the wood is rotten.
