Introduction to electric hammers for power tools and precautions for use

Feb 10, 2023

Electric hammer is one of the indispensable power tools in the decoration and construction industry. Electric hammers operate by spinning and pounding, with a single pounding force of very high and a thumping frequency of 1,000 to 3,000 per minute, resulting in significant pounding force. Compared to impact drills, electric hammers require minimal pressure to drill holes in hard materials such as concrete and brick.

Today we will not make a detailed introduction to the working principle of the electric hammer, etc., let's find an electric hammer to actually understand the use and precautions of the electric hammer.

This kind of electric hammer uses a drill bit with a round handle groove, and the actual picture is as follows, with 14mm, 12mm, 10mm, 9mm, 8mm, and 6mm in the picture. These drills are commonly used in production work. One of the largest of them is the square shank groove, and this hammer cannot be used.

Correct use can improve the service life of the hammer and extend the service life of the hammer.

1. Before using the electric hammer, you should carefully observe the identification plate of the electric hammer to see whether the voltage is in line with it and ensure that the electric hammer is not faulty.

2. When the electric hammer is in operation, it is strictly forbidden to rotate the functional handle to convert the speed, forward and reverse, etc.

3. Protective equipment such as protective covers should be used when using electric hammers.

4. The electric hammer is a tool for intermittent operation, and it cannot be operated continuously for a long time to avoid damage to the tool.

5. When the electric hammer is finished drilling, the power button should not be released immediately, but should be pulled out of the hole under the condition that the drill bit keeps rotating, and then put the power button, otherwise the drill bit may be stuck in the hole can not be pulled out, in case the drill bit is stuck in the hole, it is strictly forbidden to press the power switch again to start the electric hammer, otherwise it may cause serious injuries, such as damage to the electric hammer, and more serious injuries will cause injuries to the user. In this case, the drill must be disengaged from the hammer before the drill bit is removed by other methods.

6. The use of electric hammer should also pay attention to the use environment and temperature, such as in cold climate areas, should be idle for two minutes before use, do not block the electric hammer heat dissipation exhaust hole during the drilling process.

Be careful when using an electric hammer to prevent injury. Cause unnecessary damage.
